What is a Detox
Foot Bath?
A detox foot bath
helps your body cleanse by drawing out
heavy metals and toxins through the
numerous pores on the soles of the
feet. The therapy begins by placing the
feet in a foot tub filled with warm
spring water and sea salt. A coil is
then placed in the tub. The coil acts
on the salt water by iodizing it, which
allows the toxins and impurities to be
released in sweat from the soles of the
feet. A foot bath is especially
effective for this method of cleansing
since you have more sweat glands in your
feet per inch than anywhere else on your
entire body.
Why is a foot
detox bath important?
Your body is
constantly cleansing itself of toxins
that result from the intake of foods,
water, and air. When there are more
toxins than nutrients in the cells of
your body, you will notice a lack of pep
and energy. This is your body’s message
that something is wrong and needs
correction. The body naturally
eliminates or neutralizes toxins via the
liver, kidneys, perspiration and
exhalation. However, for most people,
toxins accumulate faster than the body
can eliminate them. This is when
treatments, such as the foot detox bath,
can be beneficial. The foot detox bath
will allow a greater level of waste
products to be excreted and therefore
help your body to regulate nutrients and
oxygen to the tissues. This will help
restore your body to wellness.
What can I expect
during a foot detox bath?
A foot detox bath
is very simple. You sit in a chair and
place your feet in the foot spa that
contains warm spring water, sea salt,
and a foot coil. A session will last
for 30 minutes. After the session is
complete, you will be able to go back to
work, or do any daily activity that you
would normally do. Afterwards, we
recommend that you drink plenty of water
for the rest of the day and take a
mineral supplement because the
detoxification will pull out some of the
minerals that naturally bind with the
heavy metals and toxins that are
eliminated during the bath.
