Renee Welhouse, a doctor, teacher and healer, was a symbol of personal strength and conviction to everyone who knew her.

1971 marked the first of fifteen surgeries for her. Diagnosed with cancer, she was told amputation of her left leg would potentially extend her life six months, this was in 1980. She made the decision to cleanse and rebuild her body back to health and to help others by studying holistic medicine both nationally and internationally. Her commitment to herself and others became a symbol to those learning that life takes courage.
